After moving 6 times before I was 10, we finally settled in Maryland, where I now can say I am a native. My early career was in commercial and investment banking, including a lot of international travel. Then I passed the the CPA license exam and went into management consulting. When I became a real estate agent, I worked with my mother, Marilyn Fiertz, as The Mother-Daughter Team. It was a great way to learn the business from an experienced 30-year agent; my financial background prepared me well for the "technical" part of real estate, and working with an experienced partner helped me with everything else. My mother has since retired, and now I partner with Joan Schellhase, also an experienced agent, offering our clients experience, expertise, and all the benefits of a team approach.
